If you have any question regarding web analytics and/or our plugin, please don’t hesitate to contact us!

Q: Can you explain how to read the time on site number?
A: To read the time on site number: after extracting the data of Time on site.
Divide the number by 86,400 and apply the format of H:MM:SS.
e.g:
Step 1: Let’s say, for January your time on site number is 291,668.
Step 2: Divide the number i.e. 291668/86400 = 3.3757
Step 3: Apply the custom format H:MM:SS

By following these step you’ll get the final number: 9:01:08
This way, you will have Time on site. To have Avg. time on site, you need to divide the number first by visits and then by 86400 i.e. 291668/xxxx/86400 and apply the custom format.

Q: Can we sort dataset by events?
A: Yes, we can sort dataset by events.

Q: I am currently not able to run some reports from Google Analytics using Tatvic, because of your limitations on segments and filtering. For instance, sometimes in Google Analytics I use the default segment Non-Paid Search Traffic plus a custom segment which filters out brand keywords or filters for brand keywords. In Tatvic Excel Plugin, I cannot select both Non-Paid Search and an advanced segment that has pre-set filters, and your limit of 5 filters is not sufficient. I have to run these reports from GA directly. Do you expect to change the limit of filters soon?
A: Due to the scenario which you have described, we would recommend you to create an advance segment where medium contains organic (by this way, you will have non-paid search traffic only) and keyword does not contain any brand name of company. Once you create this segment, log in to our tool and apply this segment. This way, you will have non paid search traffic with Non branded key words. Similar way create second segment where you can include brand keyword.

Q: How can i pull in local/global search volume and search trend metrics from keywords in adwords?
A: Our tool extracts the data using Google API and it is limited to provide global search volume only through adwords.

Q: I’m trying to pull a report based on Keywords with metrics including Visits, Bounce Rate, and Revenue, but I get an error saying “You can select MCF dimensions only with MCF metrics”. How can I pull what I’m looking for?
A: You need to ensure that you select relevant dimensions and metrics from the available list. If you select any dimensions / metrics from MCF (multi-channel funnel) section, then you have to select corresponding metrics from MCF and vice versa.

Q: I keep seeing MCF, what does that stand for?
A: MCF stands for Multi-Channel Funnel parameters.

Would you like to reduce the amount of time you usually spend on data extraction from your Google Analytics / Google Adwords account? We think you may like to watch our Webinar – How to simplify and automate data extraction process using Tatvic Excel Plugin. Watch the Replay Now!
