Job Description:

You will be part of the core team of a startup focusing on software product development in Web Analytics. Apart from being wonderful human being; you will be providing a technical / architecture level direction for the product design. Typical candidates for this role would have developed some sort of data mining algorithms using huge datasets and also built large scale data processing/analytics systems .This is a fairly hands-on role which requires multiple hats of technical leader as well as a developer.

We are looking for someone who is independent minded, strongly motivated, and a fast learner. We expect this position to be filled by someone who will lead a strong engineering team in future.

Must:
  • Proficient in web analytics tool(s) and their implementation. Preferred Google Analytics. CAs aren’t expected on this.
  • Understanding of web protocols and technology, javascript
  • Ability to develop & execute specification for improving implementation of WA tool, to increase the scope of metrics captured.
  • Excellent Documentation & written communication skills
Nice to have:
  • Generate periodic management reports and present to client
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses as per directed to generate actionable consumer behavior insight.
  • Use data to generate insight and recommend ideas to improve site performance against site KPIs.
  • Must be able to self-manage based on customer priorities, have proactive communication style, and be customer focused.
  • Knowledge & Experience with scripting/programming languages such as AJAX, PHP, C, JSP, JavaScript, HTML, etc.
  • Experience proprietary analytics software, a plus ( Overture, SAS, DART, Foresee, Google Analytics, ClickTracks, Coremetrics, Google Adwords, Webmaster tools)
Skills Required:
  • Strong fundamentals of computer science, UNIX
  • Web development – PHP/Apache/CSS/Jscript/Ajax
  • Search technologies, algorithm improvements
  • Web Analytics products/ implementation
  • Strong programming skills in Java, HTML/CSS and Javascript
  • Familiarity with Web services , AJAX, REST and JSON techniques
Requirements:
  • Experience designing an enterprise application
  • Experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
  • Experience with deploying rich web 2.0 client applications in a high-availability, clustered environment
  • Expertise in the, and documenting the artifacts of software systems
  • Exemplary general IT knowledge (applications development, testing, deployment, operations, documentation, standards, best practices, security, hardware, networking, OS, DBMS, middleware, etc.)
  • Expertise and experience in lightweight, rapid development, agile methodologies.
  • Experience with interaction with legacy systems and phased application integration
